Ja, genau! A friend had in his stable a FIAT/Abarth 750 which was a fierce little thing, and Shelby GT-350 chassis #6 (being a secondary-school chum of Shelby's didn't hurt).
It was the sixth GT-350 which Shelby built; Mike had (as I seem to recall) driven Ol' Shel's pre-production version and suggested a few suspension modifications to make the car corner in a more neutral manner. All these experiences happened during the period when I was a volunteer course worker for San Francisco Region SCCA and got to see and hear things like Tipo 31 Birdcages, Arnolt-Bristols, Lotus MK VIIs, and on and on and on...
